First Trailer For Sabotage Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger

FINALLY! After months of little to no news the first trailer for Sabotage starring Arnold Schwarzenegger has arrived compliments of Yahoo Movies.  Schwarzenegger is back in arguably his most promising picture since returning to the industry. Director David Ayer and Schwarzenegger have promised the film will be brutal, and judging by this relatively brutal ‘Green Band’ trailer it looks like the film will live up to that promise.

The film, previously titled Breacher and then Ten, sees director David Ayer return behind the camera following last year’s critically acclaimed End of Watch. Ayer has assembled a great ensemble cast for Sabotage with Joe Manganiello, Mireille Enos, Olivia Williams, Sam Worthington, Max Martini, Terrence Howard, and Josh Holloway starring alongside Schwarzenegger. Sabotage will be released in the US on April 11th, 2014, and its UK release date is set for later that month on 25th April. Check out the trailer and plot synopsis below.

Is This The Future of Cinema? ScreenX: 270-Degree Cinema Screens

Cinema ticket sales are at an almost all time low thanks in no small part to online movie streaming services such as Netflix and Love Film. Consumers are increasingly choosing the comfort and convenience of their own living rooms when it comes to viewing films over making the trip to their local theatre. This leaves the motion picture industry not just in Hollywood, but the world with the challenge of enticing customers to get off the couch back and into theatre seats again. Innovation in theatres could be the key to countering this problem. Right now there are 40 cinemas in South Korea featuring this new ‘ScreenX’ technology, a new type of cinema screen experience developed by cinema group ‘CJ CGV’. It uses the theatre walls as supplemental screens to give people a near panoramic 270-degree movie viewing experience. It’s an entirely new production process so don’t expect to be seeing many films made for especially for ScreenX any time soon. Could ScreenX technology be the next IMAX?
