One week after it was leaked online through some very poor recorded cell phone footage The Dark Knight Rises teaser has finally got its official release. The teaser is made up of footage from Christopher Nolan’s first two Batman films 'Batman Begins' and 'The Dark Knight' along with a little bit of new footage, including a couple of shots of Tom Hardy as Bane and a Lieutenant Gordon monologue. Liam Neeson provides the voice over for the first half with sound footage taken from Batman Begins. Neeson is rumoured to have a cameo appearance in the film as 'Ra's Al Ghul' although this is under much speculation as Ra's supposedly died at the end of Batman Begins and for Neeson to return he would have to have either miraculously escaped a train wreck or indeed be an immortal as the character became in the comic book. Neesons name is noticably absent from the credits at the end of the trailer. The Dark Knight Rises opens on July 20th, 2012. Check out the trailer below along with a few screen captures and the official teaser poster. Also click over to the official Dark Knight Rises Facebook page to watch the trailer in HD.
